Downpipe
We exclusively install large downpipe only on your home. Large sized downpipe have are over 40% large to handle a much greater volume of water. Often, overflows in eavestrough occurs when water is unable to drain out the pipe fast enough. By increasing the size of the downpipe more water can be pushed out in a large downpour and will be less likely to get clogged up on the inside. Another reason for clogs to happen is when the hole from the eavestrough to the downpipe is not opened to its maximum.

Corners
The most important part of your eavestrough which can be overlooked when deciding your contractor is how the corners are made. There are two ways you will see them done. Pre-fabricated "box" corners and mitred corners which are made on site. The major differences are in how they seal and how they look aesthetically on your home and can immediately show an inexperienced worker.

Corner Sealing
We seal all our corners using Kop-R-Lastic caulking to give it the longest life possible. Its a synthetic rubber sealant that is highly elastic and is unlikely to crack overtime.

An outside corner, well caulked to prevent leaks as long as possible.

Box Corner
The major dissadvantage with a box corner is there are three seams to caulk, down the center and each side where the eavestrough meets. This leads to an increase in problems over the long term.
Mitred Corner
These are the corners done by a professional. There is only one seam to caulk on the inside of a mitre corner, down the center where the two pieces meet. Over the years you will have less leaks and problems. And aesthetically, they are much nicer to look at.
